Two former state representatives — a Republican and a Democrat who both left office due to term limits — are vying to return to the Legislature as the senator for Michigan’s 16th District.

Democrat Doug Spade of Adrian and Republican Bruce Caswell of Hillsdale are so far the only candidates officially in the running for the district, which is comprised of St. Joseph, Branch, Lenawee and Hillsdale counties. View »
